How to Register for Voting
Apply in person during regular business hours to the City Clerk office or at your local Secretary of State Office. The fifteenth (15th) day preceding an election is the deadline for registering in any manner other than in person with the local clerk. Moving, even within the Pointes, requires re-registration, as does a change of name.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL REGULATIONS, IF YOU ARE A NEWLY REGISTERED VOTER AND YOU REGISTERED BY MAIL YOU MUST VOTE IN PERSON IN YOUR FIRST ELECTION. IF YOU REGISTERED THROUGH THE SECRETARY OF STATE YOU MAY WISH TO CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION WITH THE CITY OFFICE.
