The Edsel & Eleanor Ford House http://www.fordhouse.org/index.html is the preserved home of Edsel and Eleanor Ford, generously donated by Eleanor Clay Ford. Since opening to the public in 1978, the nationally featured magnificent home and 87 acre lakefront grounds have hosted special events, lectures, classes, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Grosse Pointe Yacht Club http://www.gpyc.org/ is the only commercial property in Grosse Pointe Shores. The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club is recognized as the number one yacht club in North America.
Osius Park. The 8.3 acre city park, named for long time resident George Osius, is a residents only facility. The lakeside park features an updated marina with docks to accommodate boats and yachts. Park amenities include tennis courts, basketball court, playscapes, swimming pool, wading pool, pavilions, picnic areas, lockers, restrooms and showers. The park landscaping is attractive, impeccably maintained.
