Citizens' Guide and Performance Dashboard

Public Act 63 of 2011 requires each city, village and township in the State of Michigan to make available to the public a Citizen's Guide to finances and a Performance Dashboard in order for the local government unit to be eligible to receive future statutory payments from the State of Michigan.

The Citizen's Guide provides a transparent understanding of Grosse Pointe Shores' finances using a graphical presentation of financial measures useful to its' citizens.

The Performance Dashboard provides information regarding Grosse Pointe Shores' fiscal stability, economic strength, public safety and quality of life that are important to the governing body and to the citizens of the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores.  The information provided utilizes several sources such as the annual audited financial statements, annual actuary report, and Federal Census data.

Please note:  On April 1, 2009, the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores became a city known as the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores, A Michigan City.  Data provided for fiscal years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 are from the "Village" status only.  To make accurate comparisons before and after 2009 will require adding Township data to the Village data.
